King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed 1,075 food baskets to the most needy and displaced families in the River Nile State in Sudan, benefiting 6,682 individuals. This is part of the second phase of the project to support food security in Sudan.
This comes within the framework of the relief and humanitarian aid provided by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief to alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Sudanese people as a result of the humanitarian crisis.
Two weeks ago, KSrelief distributed 360 food baskets to the most needy and displaced families in Khartoum, Sudan, benefiting 2,595 individuals, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA). This is part of a project to support food security in Sudan.
Last month, the center distributed 529 food baskets to the neediest and displaced families in Northern State, in the Republic of Sudan, benefiting 3,041 individuals.
Sudan Crisis
The crisis in Sudan is multifaceted, with political, economic, and humanitarian dimensions. All the dimensions have created a complex and challenging situation for the country and its citizens. Economic challenges have also played a significant role in the crisis in Sudan.
In addition, humanitarian issues have also been a major concern in the African country, with millions of people in need of humanitarian assistance due to conflict and displacement. The country has faced challenges that will require sustained efforts from both government and the international community to address. However, there is hope for Sudan to survive without continued support and cooperation.
