KSA's Efforts to Provide Best Experience for Pilgrims at Two Holy Mosques
The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Masjid al-Haram and the Prophet’s Mosque is committed to ensuring satisfaction with the quality of services provided to pilgrims at the Two Holy Mosques. This commitment is through an ambitious vision for collaborative work among participating entities. This vision focuses on integrated coordination and the use of modern technologies to serve pilgrims.
Services at Two Holy Mosques
Among the services offered are the intensified cleaning and sterilization of the Masjid al-Haram, its surface, courtyards, and facilities to prepare for visitors and worshippers. This involves a workforce of 4000 cleaning 10 times daily. They are supervised by 200 Saudi supervisors working round the clock. Additionally, 120 engineers and technicians are constantly on duty before each prayer to maintain the sound network of 8,000 speakers in the Masjid al-Haram and its courtyards.
The facilities include 3,516 restrooms, 9,155 water coolers, and more than 35,000 new carpets in all prayer areas of the Masjid al-Haram and its courtyards. There are also 3,000 manual carts and 2,000 electric carts, with 6,000 cart pushers. Over 1,000 machines and devices participate in cleaning operations throughout the day, accommodating up to 1.6 million worshippers.
Efforts to Facilitate Journey of Pilgrims
Moreover, the Presidency works to facilitate the experience of the pilgrims by providing all facilities. It develops infrastructure projects in the two holy mosques. Recognizing its importance, Saudi Vision 2030 includes targets focused on enhancing the efficiency of services provided to the pilgrims.
This includes hosting 30 million visitors and Umrah pilgrims annually and improving the services for the guests by enhancing operational and service efficiency in the two holy mosques.
Consequently, these efforts contribute to creating the right environment and addressing challenges and obstacles throughout the pilgrims’ journey from arrival to departure.
The journey of the guests of the Merciful to the Masjid al-Haram and the Prophet’s Mosque is a unique experience. It includes a focus on the healthy environment of the Grand Mosque and ensuring clean and quality air. This contributes to a comfortable and distinguished experience.
