Korea's Export-Import Bank Establishes Saudi Arabia Office

Korea’s Export-Import Bank has established a new office at its headquarters, named Saudi Arabia Office, reported Akhbaar 24.

The office aims to provide effective financial support to Korean companies entering or planning to enter the Middle East market.

Korea established this office in preparation for participating in major projects in the Middle East, such as the NEOM city project.

The office will offer consultancy services to companies and support financial consultations and market research in the early stages of projects.

Moreover, the office will manage networks for key entities involved in project proposals and business owners.

The staff of the bank sent to the Kingdom are planning to collaborate with the headquarter by identifying promising projects, establishing cooperation channels, and providing consultancy services to local companies.

Korea’s Financial Support to Middle East

The bank has provided financial support of approximately 161 billion dollars to the Middle East.

It offered 39.6 billion dollars to the Kingdom, 35.5 billion dollars to the UAE, and 14.4 billion dollars to Qatar.

Furthermore, the bank will provide comprehensive financial support to achieve the government’s goal of winning foreign orders worth 57 billion dollars in 2024.

MoU with KG Mobility

 

Last year, KG Mobility, a Korean automotive company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi National Automotive Manufacturing Company (SNAM) for the production and assembly of the electric sports utility vehicle ‘Torres EVX’ in Seoul on December 15.
