King Salman bin Abdulaziz Orders Absentee Funeral Prayers for Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has ordered to perform absentee funeral prayers (known as Salat al-Ghaib) for late Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The prayer will take place tomorrow, Sunday, after the noon prayer in Masjid al-Haram and the Prophet’s Mosque.
Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah announced the sad passing of Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at the age of 86.
The Minister of the Amiri Diwan Affairs expressed deep sorrow and grief to the people of Kuwait, the Arab and Islamic nations, and friendly peoples worldwide. Sheikh Nawaf had recently been hospitalized due to a sudden health setback but was reported to be in stable condition.
King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud mourned the passing of Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah. In their heartfelt message, the Saudi leaders expressed their profound sorrow and deep condolences to the Al-Sabah family.
Shared Grief and Solidarity
King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman underscored that the KSA and its people stand in solidarity with Kuwait in this time of loss. They also emphasized the strong ties and enduring brotherhood between the two Gulf countries.
