King Khalid University Achieves Progress in QS Rankings by Subject 2024
King Khalid University has made impressive progress in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
As a result of its continuous efforts, the University achieved advanced positions in the QS Rankings, which ranks universities according to international standards.
King Khalid University has set new records in 7 subjects, and two new subject areas were ranked, out of the 5 broad subject areas ranked annually.
The 2024 edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject features 55 individual subjects across five broad subject areas, with 1,559 institutions ranked across these subjects.
Dr. Hamid bin Majdoo Al Qarni, Vice President of Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, confirmed that King Khalid University ranked 386 in Engineering and Technology, 501-550 in Natural Sciences.
He added that King Khalid University achieved a ranking among the top 200 universities worldwide, after it ranked 151-200 in Chemical Engineering.
The University also achieved record numbers in Physics and Astronomy by ranking 301-350. Its performance in Mathematics and Chemistry has improved to rank 351-400 in both fields.
Additionally, the university has enhanced its position in Electrical and Electronic Engineering by ranking 401-450. It has also strengthened its global presence in Medicine and Computer Science and Information System by ranking 451-500 in both fields.
Al Qarni stressed that King Khalid University is enhancing its research and innovation capabilities and raising the standards of its academic programs to boost its presence among various international ranking platforms.
These efforts aim to achieve the university’s 2030 strategy objectives, aligning with Aseer Region development strategy and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives.
Aiming to strengthen the university’s presence at the local, regional and international levels, King Khalid University recently celebrated its global aspirations and launched a number of enablers that are expected to contribute to achieving the University’s objectives.
