“Kafalah” Program Secures 2023 Kotler Award for Marketing Excellence
The “Kafalah” program has garnered the prestigious 2023 Kotler Marketing Award. It is a financial guarantee initiative for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Saudi Arabia. The program received the award at a ceremony in Riyadh on December 20. It came, celebrating outstanding achievements in the fields of media and marketing. The Kotler Award is, basically, assessing media presence and market impact. It acknowledges the most effective media and marketing campaigns within the Saudi market.
Kafalah Award Winning Media Campaign
The Kafalah program’s new identity and the impact of its merger with the Small and Medium Enterprises Bank, under the slogan “Continuing Empowerment,” won it the top spot for its media and visual communication campaign. Launched in March 2023, the campaign aimed to stimulate lending to SMEs, highlighting the program’s role in development finance and its support for micro, small, and medium enterprises.
Kotler Awards: A Global Benchmark
The Kotler Awards are granted annually in a ceremony attended by participants from over 50 countries. Riyadh hosted this year’s event, which honors individuals and companies for excellence in marketing, management, advertising campaigns, public relations, digital marketing, and market research.

The Kotler Award reflects Kafalah’s continuous efforts to support SMEs in securing necessary financing to develop their activities. It also recognizes the program’s role in encouraging financial institutions to engage with the SME sector.
