The Municipality of Jeddah planted more than 11,280 trees over an area estimated to be more than 134,000 square meters during the year 2023, reported Saudi Press Agency.

Jeddah Municipality explained that it is working according to a strategy to expand the green area, aiming to beautify the city and increase vegetation cover and green spaces.

The tree planting and beautification projects will be carried on roads and squares. The number of trees in the city reached 105,600, spread over a total area estimated to be more than 2,114 square meters. These include residential areas, roads, public squares, and parks.

Moreover, it is worth noting that in the past year, 2023, the Municipality implemented three new quality parks, covering a total area of 36,745 square meters.
