By enhancing its logistics capabilities, Saudi Arabia aims to triple its non-oil exports, positioning itself as a regional logistics leader.
Technological Advancements, Sustainability
The logistics park will introduce advanced digital infrastructure and efficient warehouse management systems.
This setup will enhance inventory management, improve operational efficiencies, and contribute to a competitive edge in logistics.
Commitment to environmental sustainability is evident in the planned use of renewable solar energy and electric yard machinery.
Strategic Importance
Jeddah Islamic Port’s strategic location on the Red Sea Coast makes it a pivotal link in global shipping, handling over 5 million TEUs annually.
Its integration into the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road further amplifies its significance, connecting key global regions through efficient maritime routes.
Comprehensive Logistics Solution
The Integrated Logistics Park will include bonded and non-bonded warehousing and distribution facilities, covering 70% of the total area.
It’s designed to accommodate diverse sectors, ranging from general warehousing to cold chain storage, and will include a dedicated e-commerce fulfillment center.
This setup positions the port as a versatile and comprehensive logistics solution, capable of handling significant annual volumes.
Jeddah Islamic Port’s latest endeavor to integrate air and sea logistics marks a significant step towards realizing Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
By leveraging its strategic location and investing in technological and environmental innovations.
