KSA Allocates $353 Mln to Help Developing Countries Participate in Expo 2030
Adel Al-Jubeir, the Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, announced that the Kingdom has allocated $353 million to support over 100 developing countries’ participation in the Riyadh Expo 2030.
This commitment reflects Saudi Arabia’s dedication to hosting an exceptional and unprecedented edition of the Expo.
This announcement was made during a closing ceremony for the Expo 2030 campaign held in Paris. The ceremony was attended by various ministers, diplomats and top french officials.
Vision for the Future: “Era of Change”
Dimitri Kerkentzes, Secretary-General of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), highlighted the main theme of the expo, “Era of Change: Together, We Foresee the Future.” This theme is an invitation for international collaboration, focusing on building plans for a better tomorrow.
It focuses on addressing challenges and opportunities that result from this era of change.
Princess Haifa’s Vision of Global Prosperity
Princess Haifa bint Muhammed, Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Tourism, spoke of the Kingdom’s commitment to achieving its national goals on an international scale.
KSA believes in the importance of prosperity for all. She noted that the Kingdom’s strategic initiatives and projects aim to influence not only nationally but also globally.
Princess Haifa affirmed that Riyadh Expo 2030 will serve as a global platform, enhancing international cooperation.
The Expo’s vision, “A Global Exhibition from the World to the World,” along with the “Collaborative Change Corner (C3)” initiative, will contribute to the growth of more than 27 projects and initiatives worldwide.
A Milestone in Saudi Arabia’s Journey TO Expo 2030
The final voting for the host of Expo 2030 is scheduled for November 28, 2023. It will take place during the BIE 173rd General Assembly.
Riyadh is competing with Busan, South Korea, and Rome, Italy, for the hosting rights.
This event marks a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia’s journey towards hosting the Expo 2030. It showcases KSA’s readiness and enthusiasm for global collaboration and innovation.
