The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has completed the maintenance and operation of all electronic works of all kinds in the Grand Mosque, in preparation for this year’s Hajj season.
The necessary maintenance was done for the audio devices, central clock systems, fire alarm systems, control and monitoring systems, as well as the central system, and the television monitoring system.
In this regard, the Director General of Operation and Maintenance at the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques, Mohsen Al-Salami, said in media statements that all components of the audio system have been maintained and operated, including microphones, distribution devices, processing devices, audio signal transmission and conversion devices, amplifiers and headphones.
All components of the central clock system, such as the computer, distribution devices, and all internal components of the main and subsidiary clocks, were maintained, and maintenance and operation of all components of the fire alarm system, including fire sensors, manual pagers, bells, main and subsidiary panels, and others.
All components of control and monitoring systems were maintained and operated, such as computers, sensors of all kinds, control devices and panels for the system distributed in various sites of the Grand Mosque, as well as ensuring the system of uninterrupted power supply units (UPS).
The units have also been fully maintained, their programs checked, the safety of all their internal components is ensured, and all damaged batteries are changed, if any, and the necessary tests are done for them.
Al-Salami added: “The central system was examined for the entire network, and the safety of all internal and external lines was checked, and all telephone devices belonging to the system were checked and maintained. All cameras, whether mobile or fixed, were maintained and operated, and the system’s recording devices and screens were safe.
He explained that a specialized team is supervising these works; To ensure implementation in accordance with technical principles followed and to ensure that they are free of any defects using the latest technologies and the best international specifications.
