MHRSD: Starts The Initiative of “Improving The Contractual Relationship”
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and the National Information Center, launched the initiative “Improving the Contractual Relationship,” which is one of the national transformation initiatives.
The initiative “Improving The Contractual Relationship” provides three main services:
- Career mobility service
- The development of exit and return mechanisms
- The final exit.
The job mobility service allows a migrant worker to move the sponsorship to another job in the event that his contract expires. The different thing here is the migrant worker does not need the prior employer’s approval, and it also determines the transfer mechanisms during the contract’s validity period
The exit and return service allows a migrant worker to travel outside the Kingdom, and enables him to exit permanently through the final exit service after the end of the contract, and notifies the employer electronically without the need for his consent
The initiative also allows the worker to leave the worker while doing the consequences of terminating the contract.
All expatriate workers in private sector establishments benefit from the initiative’s services within specific controls that take into account the parties’ rights to the contractual relationship.
The initiative “Improving The Contractual Relationship” aims to support the Ministry’s vision of building an attractive job market, empowering human competencies, and developing the work environment and will be implemented since March 14, 2021, and services will be available through the Absher platform and the Qiwa platform of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
The ministry explained that the initiative comes to raise and improve work efficiency and to complement previous efforts in the same field by launching programs to protect workers’ wages in the private sector, the contract documentation program, the program to raise awareness of labor culture, the “Woody” program, and other programs.
The ministry added that the initiative “Improving The Contractual Relationship” contributes to reducing the Saudi worker’s contractual procedures in exchange for the expatriate worker, which is reflected in the increase in the opportunities for resettlement of citizens in the labor market and attracting talent.
