The Haramain High-Speed Railway is gearing up to operate more than 2700 trips and provide a seating capacity exceeding 1.3 million seats to meet the mounting demand for trips between Mecca and Madinah during Ramadan.

As Umrah season reaches its peak during Ramadan, demand on Haramain High-Speed Railway soars as it is the fastest mean of transportation between Mecca and Medinah.

Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) Company, in coordination with the operating company, has set a precise plan to meet the expected soaring demand for the train during Ramadan.

They will increase the operational capacity of the 300 km/h train so that it travels the distance of 449 km between the two holy cities within two hours and twenty minutes.

King Abdulaziz Airport Station Breaks Record

The King Abdulaziz Airport Station is the world’s largest airport-connecting railway station. It stretches over an area of more than 105,000 square meters, lined with six train platforms.

Furthermore, this station helps alleviate the congestion on roads leading to King Abdulaziz Airport by transporting passengers directly to and from other stations without the need to leave the airport premises or use other means of transportation.
