King Abdulaziz Airport Opens International Transit Zone
King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah has opened the international transit zone, according to Alekhbariya.
Nearly 27 bodies worked together on establishing and preparing this colossal zone to receive up to 1500 travelers per hour.
Among those bodies are Jeddah Airports Company (JedCo) and security bodies. Moreover, the Ministry of Health provided a clinic to provide health services to the zone’s visitors.
The new zone includes 10 counters to complete the travelers’ procedure swiftly and easily.

Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) witnessed an astonishing surge in passenger levels during the year 2023. With a remarkable 36% increase in passenger traffic, KAIA achieved an all-time high, solidifying its position as a key transportation hub in the region.

Tourist Visa Lounge
Passports control in King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah, in cooperation with Jeddah Airports Company, opened a “Tourist Visa Lounge” area.
This hall aims to facilitate procedures for arrivals by issuing visas upon arrival.
The Director General of Passports control Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al Yahya stressed the keenness of the General Directorate of Passports to provide the best services to those arriving to the Kingdom, and to provide a distinguished and easy experience from their arrival until their departure.
