His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Mishaal, the governer of the Al-Qassim Region, will sponsor tomorrow a ceremony on the completion of planting one million trees in the Buraydah Oasis in the Al-Qassim region, according to the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.
Osama Faqih, the Deputy Minister for Environment Affairs in Saudi Arabia, discussed ambitious environmental goals in an interview with “Al Arabiya Business.” For example, the Kingdom aims to plant 600 million trees by 2030, a significant increase from the current 40 million.
Besides Al-Qassim, the Saudi government has also set a target to plant 12 million trees across the nation. This ambitious initiative aims to enhance the beauty of public spaces, improve air quality, and create a more sustainable environment for future generations.
