Get to know the first woman to hold the position of Director General at Saudi Foreign Ministry

On Tuesday, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the appointment of Ahlam bint Abdulrahman Yanqsar as Director-General of the General Administration of Cultural Affairs, making her the first woman to hold the position of Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Yanqsar also served in the team of the Undersecretary’s Office for Political and Economic Affairs and held the position of Deputy Head of the Department of Economic and Cultural Affairs of Kingdom Embassy in London and took over the economic and cultural files of the Ministry of Economic and Cultural Affairs of North America.
In addition, she undertook many tasks in the Ministry, the most important of which was diplomatic coordination in the General Secretariat of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Ambassadors Committee in Europe,
She participated in representing the Kingdom in the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly, in addition to delivering the Kingdom’s speech in the general discussion of the item on the women advancement within the work of the Social and Humanitarian Committee And cultural.
In terms of academic qualifications, she holds a Master’s degree in International Business Administration from the University of London.
