GCC Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi emphasized that joint military cooperation among Gulf Cooperation Council member states receives exceptional attention and care from GCC leaders, reflecting their strong belief in the unity that binds their nations.
In a statement released by the GCC General Secretariat, Albudaiwi noted that this focus underscores the leaders’ recognition of the crucial role played by the armed forces in safeguarding the security, stability, and sovereignty of GCC countries.
He added that strengthening military capabilities is essential to meeting the aspirations of GCC citizens and enhancing the Council’s ability to confront current and future challenges.

Albudaiwi’s remarks came during the 22nd session of the Joint Defence Council, held today in Kuwait.
He highlighted the importance of continued military coordination, noting that the council’s agenda includes several key issues that require strategic guidance. These discussions aim to advance joint military efforts, ensure ongoing collaboration, and reinforce the shared security of GCC states—whose security, he stressed, remains indivisible.
