GCC praises Saudi Role in Preserving World Economy, Stabilizing Oil Markets

The Secretary-General of the GCC, Nayef Al-Hajraf, praised (Thursday) the role of Saudi Arabia in protecting the global economy and stabilizing energy markets.

He affirmed the total rejection of the statements issued against the Kingdom after the decision of the “OPEC +” group, expressing his welcome to the statement of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Dr. Al-Hajraf expressed full solidarity with the Kingdom and his total rejection of these statements against Riyadh, which he said “lack facts,” praising the “important and pivotal” role played by Saudi Arabia at the regional and international levels.

Al-Hajraf also referred to Saudi Arabia’s role in “protecting the global economy from fluctuations in energy prices and ensuring its supplies following a balanced policy that takes into account the interests of producing and consuming countries.”

The Secretary-General of the GCC pointed to the historical role of Saudi Arabia in contributing to addressing the economic challenges facing the world under the principle of mutual respect between countries, promoting common interests, and maintaining regional and international security and peace.

Al-Hajraf stressed that statements against Saudi Arabia “will not be able to obscure the facts, nor will they discourage Saudi Arabia from continuing its balanced approach and advancing its duties and obligations as a fundamental pillar of security and stability in the region and the world.”
