Future Falcons Scholarship Offers Saudi Players Professional Football Careers in Europe

The “Future Falcons” scholarship is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at fostering Saudi football talent and paving the way for professional football careers in Europe.

Launched in 2019 by the Saudi Ministry of Sports, the program operates in Spain, targeting Saudi footballers aged 18 and above.

The essential premise is to provide young athletes a structured pathway to hone their skills and compete at a professional level both in Saudi Arabia and Europe.

The program embarked on a new phase in its fifth season (2023-2024) when the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) took over the supervision, marking a significant step towards achieving the long-term goals of the initiative.

This shift in oversight signifies the program’s growing stature and the increasing institutional support to make Saudi Arabia a recognized name in the global football arena.

The Agreement Between Juventus and Future Falcons

A technical agreement between Juventus and Future Falcons further amplified the program’s reach and efficacy.

This partnership is not only a milestone for the growth of Juventus’ young players but also crucial for the development of the Future Falcons’ participants.

It’s part of Saudi Arabia’s broader ‘Vision 2030‘ project, aiming to open numerous doors for young Saudi talents in the global football community, thus contributing to the nation’s football prowess on the world stage.

Future Falcons’ Mission

At the heart of the Future Falcons’ mission is the aspiration to elevate Saudi Arabia’s football performances globally.

By nurturing future talents, the initiative aims to boost the general level of exposure and commercial value of Saudi football, laying a strong foundation for youth talent development, and inspiring mass participation in football across the country.

Moreover, the Future Falcons program has already shown promising outcomes. Over the past four years, it has successfully secured 37 contracts with European clubs for its graduates, with 11 of them actively playing in various European leagues.

This early success underscores the program’s potential in being a conduit for Saudi football talents striving to make a mark in the professional football realm.
