The Consulate General of France in Jeddah has hosted a special Hijazi dinner and a musical evening to celebrate the flourishing Saudi-French ties, Arab News reported.
The night featured a stellar lineup of Saudi artists, including Abdullah Rashad, Al-Aidrous, Mohammed Hashem and Mohammed Hamdi.
This promising lineup has amused the audience with a captivating performance that combined Hijazi authenticity and artistic creativity.
“This evening brings together Saudi artists performing timeless songs from the country’s rich heritage. The event serves as a celebration of cultural exchange and camaraderie, uniting friends in Jeddah for a memorable musical night. As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, guests can immerse themselves in the spirit of tradition and shared appreciation for art and music,” French Consul General in Jeddah, Mohamed Nehad, told Arab News.
In this context, Nehad fostered the strong bilateral relations between France and Saudi Arabia.
Furthermore, he praised the strategic partnership and collaboration in various fields, especially in culture and the arts.
As for culinary experiences, the event boasted an authentic Hijazi feast, showcasing the rich flavors of traditional cuisine.
Interestingly, guests enjoyed several dishes such as mutabaq, kibdah (liver), mantu, farmoza, kabab miro, as well as a vast array of grilled specialities that reflected the depth of the region’s culinary heritage.
During the night, the consulate underscored its dedication to boosting cultural dialogue and ensuring deeper cooperation and mutual understanding between both the Saudi and French communities.
