Flynas Launches 3 Weekly Direct Flights from Jeddah to Berlin
Expanding Connectivity between Saudi Arabia & Germany
Flynas, the Saudi Arabian budget airline, has announced the launch of three weekly direct flights between Jeddah and Berlin, starting from September 4th next year. This strategic move is part of a collaboration with the Air Connectivity Program (ACP). This cooperation aims to enhance air connectivity and foster closer ties between Saudi Arabia and Germany.
This announcement was revealed during Flynas’s participation in the Saudi Tourism Authority’s pavilion at the ITB Berlin 2024, which commenced today in Berlin.
Aligning with National Efforts
This expansion is in line with broader national efforts to enhance air connectivity. Moreover, it aims to connect Saudi Arabia with 250 international destinations. It supports the national aviation strategy’s goals of accommodating 330 million passengers and hosting 150 million tourists annually by 2030. This reflects Flynas’s growth and the “Connecting the World with the Kingdom” strategy.
Flynas’s Leadership Perspectives
Flynas’s CEO and Managing Director, Bander Almohanna, stated that adding Berlin to the international destination network is in line with Flynas’s expansion plan in Europe. Furthermore, he reinforced Flynas’s leading position in the global budget aviation sector.
He emphasized Flynas’s commitment to offering better travel options between the Kingdom and Europe. Moreover, he stated the initiative supports positioning KSA as a global travel hub with the Air Connectivity Program.
ACP’s CEO, Majid Khan, remarked that the new Flynas route from enhances the Kingdom’s global connectivity. This reflects the commitment to building a strong air connectivity system. Additionally, he said that KSA looks forward to working with all local and international partners to launch new routes. It also offers more travel options for visitors from European countries to discover the Kingdom’s historical treasures and authentic culture.
Strengthening Saudi-European Relations
Hazem Alhazmi of the Saudi Tourism Authority speaks on the strategic partnership’s role in enhancing Saudi-European relations. He said that this partnership fosters growth, and cultural exchange, and addresses the increasing travel needs to the Kingdom.
By establishing this air link, Flynas is playing a role in strengthening cultural and economic ties between the two parties. Furthermore, this route is set to enhance tourism, business, and cultural exchanges, offering seamless travel between the cities.
