In an exclusive interview on the sidelines of the Biban Conference, LEADERS had a fascinating conversation with Taavi Einaste executive manager of Nortal Company in the Middle East.

- Can you tell us about the importance of your participation today in the Biban Forum?
I’m excited to announce that today marks the first working meeting of the Saudi-Estonia Business Council. We had the honor of welcoming Estonia’s Minister of Economy and Industry, Mr. Erkki Keldo, to join us for this important occasion.
- How do you Support Businesses and Entrepreneurs?
We believe that setting up the business council will support businesses and entrepreneurs from both countries. We see great interest among Estonian companies to trade with Saudi businesses. We believe that Estonian companies can make a significant contribution to achieving the Vision 2030 goals in many industries such as tourism, food security, education, technology, and digitalization. In fact, there are opportunities across multiple sectors.
Moreover, for companies aiming to enter the European Union market, Estonia stands out as one of the most efficient business environments in Europe. We are pleased to assist Saudi companies interested in investing in Estonia.
- What about the opportunities in Estonia ?
First and foremost, Estonia is a really good place for trade because we have direct access to over 500 million consumers in the European Union. Trading with these consumers from Estonia is also very simple, with very low taxes.
Estonia also has a very efficient business climate. All business dealings can be done online, and we have a favorable tax regime, with no corporate income tax, which I think is always important for entrepreneurs.
We have a highly qualified digital workforce, making it possible to set up digital companies and startups. Moreover, we have a strong investment community, particularly in the startup sector. If you want to find the next unicorn in Europe, I think Estonia is a very good place for investors.
