EU praises KSA’s success in managing 2021 Hajj season
Despite the extraordinary circumstances the globe is experiencing as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, the European Union (EU) hailed the Saudi government’s tireless efforts, which culminated in the successful completion of the Hajj season 1442 AH.
“I am pleased to salute the Saudi authorities for the wonderful organization of the Hajj season this year, which was managed with high efficiency, resulting in no cases of coronavirus infection being recorded among the pilgrims,” said Luis Miguel, the official spokesman for the European Union for the Middle East and North Africa.
He also complimented “Saudi Arabia’s achievement of women’s involvement is clear in the Hajj season, which has also a distinguished presence through Saudi women’s contributions to security operations.”
Separately, the European Union’s official spokesman noted that the Corona pandemic serves as a reminder to everyone that health is an international public matter.
“We congratulate Saudi Arabia’s role through the G20 umbrella and its support of the International Alliance for Vaccines,” he continued (Gavi). Tunisia has recently received funding from the Kingdom to help it deal with its challenging health situation.”
The Saudi Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, recently reported that the Hajj health plan for this year’s Hajj 1442 AH was a success, with no breakouts of the Coronavirus or other epidemic diseases.
