Establishing relations with Israel enhances regional cooperation: US President
US President Joe Biden said today, Thursday, that establishing relations with Israel enhances regional cooperation.
This came in a press statement on the sidelines of Biden’s visit to Israel, which will start a Middle East tour.
“The new challenges require coordination and cooperation between countries, and they cannot be addressed alone,” Biden said.
Earlier today, Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid reiterated his opposition to returning to the nuclear agreement with Iran, calling for intensifying pressure on Tehran to return to the negotiating table to discuss an alternative agreement.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s office said in a statement that Lapid held a working meeting with US President Joe Biden, in the presence of a team from both parties.
“The prime minister and the US president welcomed the warm and independent relations that bind Israel and the United States,” he added.
