Digital Saudi Arabia Showcases Kingdom’s Transformation at IGF 2024

Digital Saudi” showcased its distinguished participation with an innovative pavilion that brought together more than 10 government entities during its presence at the “Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2024” village, organized by the United Nations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital. The aim was to share the Kingdom’s pioneering experience in digital transformation and benefit from global best practices in digital governance.

“Digital Saudi” attracted numerous local and international officials and experts participating in the IGF 2024 to explore the “Digital Government Services Map” built on emerging technologies, as well as key innovations and modern technologies employed by the participating entities. The event also featured dialogue sessions involving senior officials and experts from around the world, focusing on transformative applications of digital innovations, opportunities for adopting and facilitating access to digital technologies, and improving governance.

Visitors praised the efforts of Saudi government entities in providing digital services and their role in enhancing user satisfaction. They also highlighted the latest virtual and innovative technologies contributing to advanced AI solutions that empower people and safeguard cyberspace. The initiatives further emphasized enhancing digital contributions toward peace, development, and sustainability, promoting inclusivity in the digital age, improving internet governance, and underscoring the Kingdom’s leading role in fostering digital inclusion and bridging the global digital divide. These efforts align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

Digital Platforms

Several participating entities showcased their digital platforms within the village, including Najiz, the Virtual Court, Absher, Tawakkalna, the Virtual Hospital, Sehaty, Balady, Specialized, and other government platforms. This initiative aims to enhance Saudi Arabia’s presence on the global digital map and affirm its leadership in the field of digital government, ranking fourth globally in digital services and first in the region.

This participation is part of the “Digital Saudi” initiative, working in collaboration with success partners from the public sector to strengthen international cooperation, share experiences and expertise, and highlight key government digital services designed to improve quality of life and competitiveness. These efforts align with the objectives of “Saudi Vision 2030.”
