The Communications, Space and Technology Commission announced that the global integrated digital solutions company “Digital Aramco” has qualified to obtain a specialized telecommunications network frequency license in the 450 MHz frequency band, after completing the licensing regulatory procedures.
The license aims to establish an independent communications network for industrial and business sectors, using the latest global wireless technologies to meet specialized sector needs.
This is part of the Authority’s efforts to achieve the Kingdom’s leadership in providing specialized broadband telecommunications services.
The Authority’s Board of Directors enabled the company to obtain the license, enhancing digital transformation in industry, energy, health, and other sectors. The specialized network will enable applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Industrial Internet of Things.
The Authority had previously announced last March 2024 that competition would be offered to the public for this type of license.
