UNAIR Delegation Visits Umm Al-Qura University
A delegation from Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) in Indonesia visited Umm Al-Qura University, where they met with the University’s President Moaddi bin Muhammad Aal Madh-hab.
The president welcomed the delegation, expressing his eagerness for cooperation between the two parties, reported Saudi Press Agency.
He provided an overview of the university’s various colleges. Likewise, the head of the delegation presented an overview of Airlangga University, highlighting its programs, features, and objectives aimed at contributing to community service and the job market.
Both parties discussed the importance of enhancing cooperation in areas of academic exchange, scientific research and development of educational programs and joint projects.
Moreover, the cooperation shall cover opportunities in education and training, scholarships, particularly in the fields of medicine and health sciences.
Umm Al-Qura University is regarded as the biggest university in Saudi Arabia in terms of enrollment. Additionally, it is one of the most extensive in terms of specializations, and unique in terms of location and history.
It contains 30 faculties, 4 institutions, and 119 departments. Additionally, it has 402 educational programs.
Tawasul Forum
Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, took part in the ninth edition of the “Tawasul Forum”, under the title “Investment and Social Entrepreneurship”.
The forum aims to raise awareness and expand knowledge.
150 representatives of the nonprofit sector from KSA participated in this event.
The Dean of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hesham Malak stated that the event allows the students to showcase their creative projects that support the field of social entrepreneurship.
