Umm Al-Qura University Takes Part in “Tawasul Forum”
Umm Al-Qura University in Tawasul Forum
Today, Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, took part in the ninth edition of the “Tawasul Forum”, under the title “Investment and Social Entrepreneurship”.
The forum aims to raise awareness and expand knowledge.
It’s worth noting that 150 representatives of the nonprofit sector from KSA participated in this event.
Dr. Hesham Malak, the Dean of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, stated that the event allows the students to showcase their creative projects that support the field of social entrepreneurship.
Projects Presented in “Tawasul Forum”
The Institute displayed two projects:
- “My Headphones”: This project offers creative solutions to the auditory difficulties faced by autistic patients. It seeks to lessen panic attacks and helps to raise their standard of living.
- “Baseer”: It develops a sort of artificial intelligence to help blind people with challenges they encounter in carrying out daily duties.
Reasons for Attending “Tawasul Forum”
Notably, the Institute was eager to take part in the event for many reasons:
- Highlighting the university’s initiatives to help creators and businesspeople in the non-profit and social entrepreneurship sectors
- Sharing of academic experiences and knowledge
- Forming partnerships with organizations and entities
Important Events Organized by Umm Al-Qura University
One of the prominent events that will be held by the university is the Scientific Forum about Hajj, Umrah, and Visitation, in Medina on Wednesday and Thursday, March 4–5.
This forum will discuss many topics such as ways to plan a healthy and safe Hajj to handle large groups of pilgrims.
Moreover, it will focus on ways to protect guests from both infectious and non-infectious diseases.

It is regarded as the biggest university in Saudi Arabia in terms of enrollment. Additionally, it is one of the most extensive in terms of specializations, and unique in terms of location and history.
It contains 30 faculties, 4 institutions, and 119 departments. Additionally, it has 402 educational programs.
