Umm Al-Qura University launches Hajj, Umrah & Visit Research Forum

Under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and in the presence of the advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Governor of Makkah Region, Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Institute of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Hajj, Umrah and Visiting Research, is holding the 22  Scientific Forum for Hajj, Umrah and Visiting Research today in the historic King Abdulaziz Hall at Umm Al-Qura University.

 

The event is under the slogan: “Towards a distinguished experience to serve the guests of the Most Gracious.”

 

The Dean of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research, Chairman of the Forum’s Organizing Committee, Dr. Turki Al-Amr, explained that the forum starts today (Sunday) and will continue until Monday.

 

The forum will have various workshops, with the participation of specialized academic researchers, representatives of government agencies, the private sector, and the third sector.

 

This publication will highlight the most significant experiences and efforts Rahman has made to provide distinguished service to its guests. It will also serve as a scientific vessel for publication and a scientific environment for exchanging experiences and encouraging innovation.

 

The session will cover scientific research in the Hajj and Umrah sector, and serving Rahman’s guests. As well as 16 goals, the forum implements 6 programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

 

Al-Amr indicated that the forum includes (7) scientific sessions, in which (33) speakers discuss some scientific axes, in addition to workshops and sessions for scientific posters, through three main pillars:-

 

-The first will discuss the culture of the guest experience. This discussion will aim at achieving the satisfaction of the guests of Rahman with the quality of services provided to them and understanding their needs and expectations.

 

-The second session will examine how the latest international best practices can be applied to the guest experience concept and its application in the Hajj and Umrah systems.

 

– The third will discuss providing an integrated system to control operations and innovative institutional services that enhance sustainability, contribute to crisis management, and transform challenges into distinctive experiences.

 

Al-Amr said that the main speakers participating in the forum include the General President of the Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Dr. General Security Lieutenant General Muhammad Al Bassami, as well as the Director General of Passports and Commander of the Hajj and Umrah Security Forces, and a group of representatives of service providers, experts, academics and specialists.
