The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) has announced the winners of the Tech Innovation Challenge 2024. The winning teams—Hams.AI, Sammu, VOIR, Challenge The Space, Ebda, Sanad AI, Farm Care, Chromaero, and Moraqeb—were celebrated for their groundbreaking contributions to the competition.
CST announced today that the challenge was organized with NTDP, Huawei, and the Artificial Intelligence Governance Association. The initiative seeks to drive innovation, support tech development, empower entrepreneurs, and grow national talent to boost GDP by increasing local companies in emerging technologies.
This year’s challenge attracted over 900 participants forming 290 teams, focusing on advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and robotics across the communications, space, and technology sectors.
The awards were presented by Raed Alfayez, CST’s Deputy Governor for the Technology Sector, and Ibrahim Neyaz, CEO of the National Technology Development Program. Moreover, the ceremony was attended by CST Governor Mohammed Altamimi, Vice Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Haitham AlOhali.
Notably, the Tech Innovation Challenge builds upon the legacy of the IoT Challenge, which spanned three editions and saw participation from over 3,000 individuals. This predecessor event generated more than 1,500 innovative ideas addressing diverse challenges in Saudi markets across various sectors.
