His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, chaired the Cabinets session held on Tuesday in Riyadh, according to Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The session commenced with a comprehensive review of the discussions held between the Kingdom and various countries at bilateral and multilateral levels to enhance the political and economic cooperation.
The Cabinet praised the outcomes of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Special Meeting hosted by the Kingdom under the theme “Global Cooperation, Growth and Energy for Development,” Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef Al-Dossary said in a statement.
Al-Dossary stressed the significance of the forum to foster the Kingdom’s joint efforts and boost the global economic growth rates in line with the Kingdom’s economic transformation plans.
The Cabinet also commended the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud’s patronage of the golden jubilee celebration of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB).
They confirmed the Kingdom’s strong commitment to bolstering the principles of Islamic solidarity and exploring new avenues for sustainable growth in several member nations.
Furthermore, they reviewed the outcomes of the Umrah and Ziyarah Forum held in Madinah, praising the new initiatives and development projects designed to enhance services and facilities for the pilgrims.
The Cabinet has seen a wide range of partnerships and decisions, as following:
1- Signing an energy cooperation agreement between the Saudi and Bahraini governments.
2- Signing a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi and Nigerian governments for cooperation in the oil and gas sectors.
3- Approving a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi and Japanese governments to establish a strategic dialogue at the level of ministers of foreign affairs.
4- Signing a memorandum of understanding to enhance the Islamic affairs between the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance and the Kenyan Supreme Council of Muslims.
5- Approving a memorandum of understanding for water between the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and the Tunisian Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries.
6- Signing a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the Congolese Ministry of Mines for cooperation in the field of mineral resources.
7- Announcing a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of tourism between the Saudi Ministry of Tourism and the Ivoirian Ministry of Tourism and Leisure.
8- Authorizing the Minister of Health, or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the Singaporean side a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the health fields between the Saudi Ministry of Health and the Singaporean Ministry of Health.
9- Approving a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority and the Korean Customs Service for mutual recognition of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) program of each.
10- Signing a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority and the Indian Central Vigilance Commission in the field of corruption prevention and control.
11- Unveiling a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and the Portuguese National Authority of Medicines and Health Products to support the cooperation in regulating medicines, medical devices, supplies, and cosmetics.
12- Signing a cooperation agreement between the Saudi Presidency of State Security and the Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence in the field of combating terrorism crimes and its financing.
13- Approving memorandum of understanding to improve the technical and vocational training between the Saudi Technical and Vocational Training Corporation and the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
14- Signing a memorandum of understanding for industrial cooperation between the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the Tunisian Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy.
