Burundi President Welcomes Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs
Burundi President Evariste Ndayishimiye welcomed the Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and climate envoy Adel al-Jubeir during al-Jubeir’s visit to Burundi.
The minister delivered the greeting of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to Ndayishimiye and their wishes for more progress and flourishment to the Burundian people.
On his part, Ndayishimiye sent his greetings and appreciation to HRH King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and to the Saudi government and people.
They discussed topics of common interest. The Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s appreciation to Burundi for supporting the Kingdom’s hosting of Expo 2030 in Riyadh and hosting World Cup 2034.
The two countries are both members in several organizations like UNESCO, United Nations and World Trade Organization.
In 2021, the two countries signed two cooperation agreements to make a way for Burundi workers in Saudi Arabia and protect the rights of both workers and employers.
