Buraidah Dates Carnival is witnessing a huge turnout of shoppers and exhibitors, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Carnival, held in the Dates City in Buraidah, has seen a significant rise in the number of vehicles, dates’ quantities and varieties, shoppers, exhibitors, sellers, and Saudi workers. It has also seen an increase in the number of services provided to the Carnival’s visitors.
Expecting a surge in activity over the coming days, the Carnival’s organizers have mobilized their efforts to manage the expected surge in visitors and ensure smooth operations, in addition to providing high-quality services.
Shoppers at the Buraidah Dates Carnival said that the event offers a wide variety of high-quality dates that meets the demands of local and international shoppers.

Al Qassim has 11.2 million palm trees, which produce 50 types of dates. Sukkari dates are one of the most popular varieties, but other date varieties are in high demand as well.
The Buraidah Dates Carnival kicked off on August 1, 2024. It is the world’s largest annual date carnival. The big event is organized by the Governorate of Al Qassim Region and the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, under the supervision of the National Center for Palms and Dates, and with the collaboration of Al Qassim Municipality and the Regions’ Police Department.
The carnival extends over 51 days and features a variety of events and activities. It exhibits a wide range of date types, such as Sukkari, Barhi and Saqi.
