British Farm Offers 17 “Gir” Falcons at 2024 Production Auction
The British farm DW FALCONS showcased 17 falcons, including Gyr and Gyr-Saker breeds, at the 2024 International Falcon Breeding Farm Auction. Organized by the Saudi Falcons Club, the auction features top breeding farms from 19 countries and runs until next Saturday at the club’s headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh.
British farm owner David Walters expressed his joy at visiting the Kingdom for the first time and participating in the auction. Additionally, he appreciated the excellent facilities provided by the Saudi Falcons Club for participants in this global event.
Regarding his relationship with falcons, he explained that he comes from a family that loves falcons. His father is a falcon breeder, and since childhood, he has lived with falcons, learned their secrets, and established his own farm, where falcon breeding began 20 years ago.
The International Falcon Breeders Auction is the world’s largest event of its kind, showcasing elite falcon breeds from around the globe. Finally, it serves as an international platform where falconers and breeders meet annually, highlighting the Saudi Falcon Club’s efforts to preserve the rich heritage of falconry.
