Saudi Arabia is hosting Black Hat Middle East and Africa (Black Hat MEA) in its third edition, at the Riyadh Exhibition & Convention Center in Malham, Riyadh, from November 26-28, 2024, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Black Hat MEA is the most attended cybersecurity event in the world. This year’s edition is organized by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones and Tahaluf, a strategic joint venture between the federation, Informa PLC, and the Events Investment Fund.
The second day of Black Hat MEA 2024 witnessed a huge turnout, featuring a wide range of specialized panel discussions and workshops that addressed the pressing challenges and recent innovations in cybersecurity.
The panel discussions of the event’s second day touched upon various topics, including Unmasking AI’s Dark Side: Combatting DeepFakes & Misinformation; Completing The Puzzle: Cyber Security Role in Combating New Digital Threats; and AMA: The CISO Sitdown (The Security Tinkerers Edition) – The Power of Community, in addition to many other sessions.

Furthermore, the event saw the signing of an agreement between CyberHub, an initiative of the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, and Group IB, to exchange expertise and enhance innovation in the face of global cybersecurity challenges.
Moreover, Black Hat 2024 includes several interactive zones and activities, such as the Bug Bounty Cup, which offers prizes up to SAR 300,000. It features challenges for professionals and newcomers to foster the capabilities of the next generation in cybersecurity and vulnerability discovery.
Black Hat is also holding several interactive challenges that combine education with competition. These include the world’s largest edition of the Capture the Flag tournament, offering prizes amounting to SAR 790,000.
