Aramco Digital, the technology arm of Saudi Aramco, is preparing to launch Saudi Arabia’s national industrial communications network operating in the 450 MHz spectrum. The network is designed to provide secure, resilient, and highly reliable connectivity nationwide, supporting industries that depend on continuous operations and mission-critical communications for essential assets and facilities.
Alongside the network rollout, Aramco Digital will introduce a comprehensive suite of 450 MHz–based industrial digital solutions. This portfolio will include sector-specific connectivity offerings and a new generation of smart radios engineered specifically for harsh and demanding industrial environments.
These smart radios feature rugged, industrial-grade construction combined with advanced capabilities such as artificial intelligence, enhanced sensing technologies, extended battery life enabled by improved energy efficiency, and real-time, on-device data processing. Together, these features are designed to improve operational accuracy, reliability, and continuity in complex operating conditions.
The network will support a wide range of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications, including asset condition and performance monitoring, fleet and equipment tracking, environmental and air-quality monitoring, smart video surveillance, smart metering, lighting and infrastructure control, as well as industrial mobility and fleet management solutions. Moreover, these capabilities will enhance visibility, enable automation, and drive greater efficiency across industrial and service sectors.
By delivering a robust national communications infrastructure, the network will play a key role in advancing Saudi Arabia’s next phase of industrial development and supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. Finally, it will enable the deployment of advanced automation, intelligent systems, and digital services across critical sectors of the Kingdom’s economy.
