Ambassador Reema to Participate in Women in Defense Program

Her Royal Highness Princess Reema bint Bandar, the Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America, will participate in the Women in Defense program, reported Saudi Press Agency.

The program is part of the second edition of the World Defense Show in 2024. This event is held under the patronage of the Custodian of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at the beginning of next February.

World Defense Show’s Objective

 

It aims to enhance and empower women’s participation and celebrate their role in this field.

The ambassador explained that the Kingdom pays great attention to enhancing and supporting women’s work in all sectors. These sectors include defense and security sectors.

She also pointed out that the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 calls for empowering women and accelerating their integration into various fields within the Saudi labor market. Thus, these directions have led to many successful models of women’s work and their excellence at various levels.

Moreover, her Highness noted that these programs aim to create a global momentum reflecting the interest of the Saudi government in all aspects of empowering  women. The ‘Women in Defense’ program provides a unique platform to enhance the opportunities to add to that success.

Show’s Topics of Discussion

The program will host female executive directors and leaders from various countries around the world. They will highlight women’s achievements and discuss ongoing challenges. They will also discuss how they contribute to the defense sector on a global level through a series of seminars and discussion sessions. Furthermore, the role of women in international defense will be a key topic on the show’s fourth day.
