British Secretary of State for Defense Welcomes Saudi Minister of Defense
Today, the British Secretary of State for Defense Grant Shapps welcomed His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Minister of Defense, at Lancaster House in the British capital, London, as part of his official visit to Britain, reported Al Madina.
Upon the arrival of the Minister of Defense, official reception ceremonies were held, during which the honor guard was reviewed.
Following that, the two ministers held an extensive bilateral meeting attended by delegations from both ministries. The meeting focused on reviewing the strategic partnership between the two friendly countries, prospects for bilateral cooperation, and ways to enhance it in military and defense fields to achieve the aspirations of both countries for their mutual interests. The two sides also discussed coordinating efforts to support security and stability in the region and the world. Moreover, they discussed a number of issues of common interest.
His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Bandar Al Saud, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United Kingdom, General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of the General Staff, Talal bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Assistant Minister of Defense as well as other officials attneded the reception.
From the British side, the attendees included Admiral Tony Radakin, Chief of the Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Richard Knighton, General Patrick Sanders, Chief of the General Staff as well as other officials.
