Minister of Media Attends Screening of Horizon
The Minister of Media, Salman bin Yousuf Al-Dosary, opened in Riyadh the special screening of the wildlife documentary film ‘Horizon’.
The documentary is the latest production of the Konoz Initiative at the Government Communication Center in the Ministry of Information. It is supported by the strategic partner, the National Center of Wildlife Development. Several officials, specialists, and media persons attended the event.
The film ‘Horizon’ will be available on several local and global platforms starting from January 4, 2024, including Netflix, followed by several international platforms.
Horizon Film
The documentary ‘Horizon’ captures aspects of wildlife and its biodiversity in the Kingdom. It highlights the efforts of the Kingdom represented by the National Center of Wildlife Development and its partners in this field. They aim to preserve wildlife and protecting it from extinction. The Center also contributed to the film’s production through the Konoz Initiative as a strategic partner by providing scientific and knowledge-based services.
During the screening, the Konoz Initiative announced several new partnerships with various media entities, totaling 8 local and international organizations. These partnerships also aim to enhance the dissemination of the initiative’s productions.
Furthermore, the film was produced in accordance with the best international production practices, by a global team specialized in documenting wildlife. 13 Saudi researchers participated in the production. This is part of the Ministry of Media’s efforts to highlight the environmental treasures of the Kingdom.
Moreover, it is noteworthy that the Konoz Initiative is part of the Human Capacity Development Program. It is one of the programs of Saudi Vision 2030. Its goal is to document cultural richness and civilizational contributions, and to showcase the success stories of Saudi citizens in all fields, through the production of documentaries, short films, and animations.
