AlUla Trail Race 2026 wrapped up on Friday, cementing AlUla‘s status as a premier hub for endurance sports, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The thrilling contest brought together a packed lineup of skilled and amateur runners of various ages from Saudi Arabia and the world to compete against the backdrop of AlUla’s breathtaking landscapes.
As part of international sporting events calendar, AlUla Trail Race 2026 attracted professional athletes and amateur runners alike, who navigated diverse trails across AlUla’s natural wonders and historic sites.
Each route showcases AlUla’s rich geographical diversity, offering a journey that combines cultural discovery with a rigorous challenge of physical strength.

In its 2026 edition, AlUla Trail Race featured diverse race categories for contestants of all skill levels. These included the Hegra Hundred (100km), widely considered one of the most grueling endurance challenges, and the AlMejdar (50km), which traversed the historic Old Town and unique natural landscapes.
Additionally, the event featured the Elephant Rock (23km) trail and the AlUla Oasis (10km) run, which was open to the general public.
It also hosted races for young age groups. Younger racers aged 5 to 12 enjoyed the Sunset Run and a 1.6km dash, while those 13 and older took on a 3km course. These initiatives highlight AlUla‘s commitment to inclusive sports participation and the promotion of physical well-being for all ages.

AlUla Trail Race 2026 concluded in AlUla Old Town with a medal ceremony for top finishers. The event showcases the region’s natural wonders and world-class trail infrastructure, while further solidifying AlUla’s presence on the global map as a premier destination for international sporting and tourism events.
Beyond the trails, AlUla has become a leading hub for endurance athletes, hosting major international events such as AlUla Tour cycling race and Fursan AlUla equestrian endurance cup.
