Al-Ahsa is hosting a vivid celebration of its ancient legacy, which stands as a living testament to the historical and cultural richness of Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Region. On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, the Governor of Al-Ahsa, Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, inaugurated the Layali Al-Qaisariyah Festival.

Located at the historic Al-Qaisariah Souq in Al-Hofuf, the festival has transformed Al-Ahsa’s ancient market into a vibrant cultural stage with a diverse array of activities.

The event features folk arts, live performances, community gatherings, traditional games and interactive family activities, all inspired by Al-Ahsa’s cultural heritage, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Layali Al-Qaisariyah Festival 2026 offers a comprehensive program featuring curated tourism trails through the market, historical theatrical performances, and youth-focused craft workshops.

These activities aim to pass traditional skills to new generations and ensure the sustainability of handcrafts, transforming heritage into an interactive experience for all visitors.

On this occasion, the Governor of Al-Ahsa reaffirmed that the unwavering support from Saudi Arabia’s leadership has been instrumental in turning historic landmarks into vibrant cultural hubs.

He noted that festivals like Layali Al-Qaisariyah play a vital role in fostering national identity by connecting modern generations with Al-Ahsa’s ancient history.

Moreover, he highlighted Al-Qaisariyah Souq as one of Al-Ahsa’s most iconic historical landmarks, dating back over 200 years, which remains a vital pillar of the community’s cultural and economic identity.

He also emphasized that the festival will revitalize local tourism and enhance Al-Ahsa’s position as a premier cultural and tourist destination both locally and internationally.
