AFC Unveils Champions League Logo for Elite

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) revealed the new identity of the ACL Elite competition, during the 34th General Assembly meeting in the Thai capital, Bangkok.

Saudi Arabia will host the final rounds of the tournament “from the quarter-finals” after the AFC’s decision in December 2023 to restructure a number of its competitions starting in the next sports season 2024-2025.

The tournament features 24 teams split into two regions, each with 12 teams. Teams will play 8 matches each in a league format. The top 8 from each region will advance to the round of 16. This round will be played home and away, with winners proceeding to the final rounds hosted by Saudi Arabia.

The final rounds of the tournament are scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia from April 25 to May 4, 2025. The winner of the title will receive the largest financial prize of $12 million, while the second-place finisher will receive $6 million.
