The Gulf Shield joint military exercise wrapped up in Saudi Arabia on Friday, bringing together the Gulf Cooperation Council’s air forces and air defense units alongside the GCC Unified Military Command, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The drill was basically designed to solidify regional defense cooperation and foster combat readiness.
The exercise featured advanced operational scenarios, from simulations of multidimensional air and missile threats to coordinated joint maneuvers and integrated field drills.
It also focused on seamless operational integration, command-and-control systems, and efficiency within a unified joint environment.
The drill sought to sharpen military capabilities and enhance readiness against both current and emerging threats.
At the same time, it also aimed at strengthening collective defense and flexible deterrence to ensure regional security and stability.
Gulf Shield is regarded as a cornerstone of military cooperation among GCC states, mirroring ongoing efforts to strengthen defense integration and foster collective response capabilities.
The exercise concluded with a joint aerial display that highlighted high levels of coordination, operational integration, and strict adherence to unified operational concepts and advanced professional standards.
