Killing Unarmed Child: American Content Creator Exposes Israeli Army Inhumanity

The American content creator, Cortlen, has revealed a shocking experience that defined his view regarding the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and debunked the myth of the Israeli army being “the most moral” in the world.
As the war in Gaza grinds on, more global voices are speaking out against Israel’s military conduct of the war in the famine-hit enclave.
First Exposure
In a video posted on social media, Cortlen recounts how he first learned about the conflict and discovered the Israeli army’s inhumane treatment of innocent Palestinians.
“I wanna talk about my first exposure to that blue and white country in the Middle East that is bombing children right now,” he said.
Cortlen said that this experience took place 8 years ago, when he watched a video on Reddit showing two Israeli soldiers killing an unarmed Palestinian child.
“My first exposure, before I knew anything about the history of that country and the history of that conflict, the history of that region, was a video on Reddit – I wanna say about 8 years ago – and it was a video of two (Israeli army) soldiers,” he said.
Shocking Incident
“You could see one of them was holding a phone camera up to a scope that you could see in the distance. And what you could see is a barbed wire fence and there were some children on the other side of it playing soccer. The translation was not English, but you can see they are speaking Hebrew,” Cortlen recounted.
“And they are saying to one another ‘Hey, I wonder if you can hit him in the head. See if you can hit him in the head from here.’ And I literally ship you not, he says ‘ok, let me see if I can do it.’,” he added.
Shooting Innocent Child
Cortlen went on, describing the horrible incident. “There is a pause in the video and then you hear a shot ring out. A second or so passes and then the child that you see at the other end of the scope drops,” he said.
“And these two pyschos start cheering. They start high-fiving one another. They start saying you can see the audio where it says ‘hey good job, good job dude. You hit him, I can’t believe you got him in the head.’
“That was my first exposure to this whole conflict in the Middle East – is two grown men cheering about hitting an unarmed child in the head with a sniper round,” the American content creator noted.
‘Most Moral Army’ Debunked
“So to all the people who argue with me and say like ‘Oh, you don’t know the details. Oh, they are just defending themselves.’ No, they are not. That child was unarmed, playing soccer behind a barbered wire fence. And that soldier put a round in his head,” Cortlen said.
“You wanna talk about who the bad guys are? They are the bad guys. Anyone who takes a shot at an unarmed child is the enemy. They are the bad guys. I don’t want to hear about them being ‘the most moral army’,” he stressed.
Horrors of War
The war in Gaza, nearing its two-year mark, has so far killed more than 65,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, according to Gaza’s health authorities.
The war has also destroyed vast areas of the enclave, displaced around 90% of its population, and spread famine. An independent inquiry, commissioned by the UN Human Rights Council, concluded that Israel has committed genocide in Gaza and that top Israeli leaders, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, have incited these acts.
Moreover, Israel is expanding its military campaign with a ground invasion of Gaza City, destroying the city’s neighborhoods amid concerns of ethnic cleansing.
With regards to this, the UN Human Rights Office in the occupied Palestinian territory warned that the destruction of Gaza City “appears to be focused on causing a permanent demographic shift, which is tantamount to ethnic cleansing.”
