The Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, praised the outcomes of the extraordinary session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, which took place on Monday in Doha, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman headed Saudi Arabia’s delegation to both emergency summits, during which Arab and Islamic leaders reiterated support for Qatar after the Israeli attack on Hamas leaders in Doha last week. Furthermore, they discussed ways to issue a collective response to Israel’s actions in the region, in a strong show of unity and solidarity.

Following the two summits, the Saudi Crown Prince sent a cable of thanks to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, extending his sincere gratitude and appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality he and his accompanying delegation received in Qatar.

Moreover, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman commended the outcomes of the two summits, noting that they “underscored the support of all participating countries for the position of Qatar in confronting the brutal aggression against it.”
He added that the summits also emphasized the participating countries’ “categorical rejection of any violation of the principles of international law and norms.”

On the sidelines of the two emergency summits, the Saudi Crown Prince held separate discussions with leaders of Arab and Islamic countries. They included Jordan’s King Abdullah II; Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan; Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian; Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif; Syrian President, Ahmed Al-Sharaa; and Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.

The leaders explored ways to further bolster bilateral ties and cooperation. They also discussed the latest developments in the region and efforts made toward addressing them, as well as ways to strengthen regional security and stability, according to Saudi Gazette.
