King Salman Performs Eid al-Fitr Prayers

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman led Eid al-Fitr prayers on Sunday as the Kingdom marked the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah. King Salman was joined by several princes and senior officials, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

 

 

 

 

Separately, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) led Eid al-Fitr prayers at the Grand Mosque in Mecca. He was accompanied by Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, who arrived in Saudi Arabia earlier on Sunday.

The Saudi Royal Court confirmed Saturday that Eid al-Fitr would be observed on Sunday, marking the start of celebrations in the Kingdom.

Public and private sector employees will enjoy a four-day holiday, extending until Wednesday, April 2, with work resuming on Thursday, April 3.
