“Digital Government” Reveals Top Agencies for Website, Content Efficiency

The Digital Government Authority announced the results of the 2024 Website Efficiency and Digital Content Index, indicating that the index achieved a score of 71.40% at a “Developed” level. The evaluation included 250 government websites and coincided with the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) being held in Riyadh from December 15–19.

The index evaluation considered two perspectives: content quality, scoring 78.62% at a “Proficient” level, and technical efficiency, scoring 67.51% at an “Advanced” level.  Moreover, this highlights the high-quality, efficient digital content on government websites, showcasing Saudi Arabia’s achievements locally and globally.

The detailed results of the index highlighted the excellence of the top 10 government websites, with the results as follows:

  • The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development achieved 95.50% at an Outstanding level.
  • The Ministry of Commerce recorded 89.62% at an Advanced level.
  • The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing achieved 86.51% at an Advanced level.
  • The Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence reached 86.42% at an Advanced level.
  • The Human Resources Development Fund achieved 86.21% at an Advanced level.

 

The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation achieved 85.91% at an advanced level, the Ministry of Education reached 85.70% at an advanced level, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs achieved 85.22% at an advanced level. Additionally, King Khalid University reached 83.64% at a proficient level, and the General Authority for Statistics achieved 83.62% at a proficient level.

Fourth National Index

It is worth mentioning that the Website and Digital Content Efficiency Index is considered the “Fourth National Index” as part of efforts to support the digital government transformation journey and strengthen the national identity by enhancing the efficiency of websites. This also aims to position government websites to compete for top results on global search engines and become official sources for information and news, as part of the Authority’s efforts in partnership with government entities.
