Elon Musk in Future Investment Initiative: Robots to Exceed Humans by 2040

Elon Musk, the American billionaire, stated during a live video intervention at the Future Investment Initiative conference on Tuesday that artificial intelligence could pose a threat to humanity.
However, he also emphasized that it is one of the most important technologies we are working to develop. He predicted that the number of humanoid robots will surpass the population of the Earth by 2040.

Musk said at the conference held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, that there will be about 10 billion robots by 2040, priced at around $25,000 each, capable of performing multiple tasks.
Elon Musk warned that birth rates around the world are declining, predicting a reduction in the population of some countries by 5% over the next three generations. He emphasized the need to pay attention to the dangers of this decline in order to preserve humanity.

Elon Musk, Solar Energy
Musk considered that current efforts to utilize all energy sources on this planet are still limited, as we are currently harnessing less than 1% of the energy available on Earth, according to his estimates. He pointed out that all future energy will rely on the sun. It is likely to provide nearly 100% of our needs.
Regarding the advice he gives to leaders in the field of artificial intelligence, he said: ‘Each country will have its own AI hubs over the years, and currently, it may be difficult to know how to build, work on, and manage them.’

He pointed to the urgent need for vast amounts of computing power and technical skills that may only be possessed by a few companies, predicting that each country will build infrastructure suitable for it.
Musk anticipated that there would be human-like robots by 2040, which would outnumber humans, indicating that their numbers could reach 10 billion robots.
Starship
Musk clarified that the “Starship” spacecraft could reach Mars within two years, with an uncrewed Starship expected to be sent after 26 months. If it performs well, consideration will be given to sending humans two years thereafter.

Regarding the future of legislation in the White House during the ongoing presidential elections, Musk stated, “We are optimistic about the White House, whether the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump becomes the next president or not.”
