The Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF) has announced the extension of the grace period for submitting employment support requests from 270 to 330 days. This period starts once the employee is added to the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) records. However, starting October 21, 2024, the grace period will revert to 180 days, marking the end of the exception period.
Extended Exception to Maximize Benefits
HADAF extended this exception to ensure that the maximum number of private sector establishments in Saudi Arabia can benefit from its programs. These initiatives aim to empower national talent, drive business development, and enhance workforce performance. The extension allows more businesses to leverage HADAF’s employment support programs effectively.
Continuous Focus on National Workforce Development
HADAF remains committed to increasing Saudi nationals’ participation in the labor market through various programs focused on training, guidance, and empowerment. These efforts encourage private sector engagement in Saudization and create opportunities for young Saudis to secure full-time positions. The organization also strengthens partnerships with relevant entities to enhance competitiveness and sustainability within the job market.
Private Employment Support System
HADAF’s Private Employment Support system, introduced by the Ministry of Human Resources, supports Saudi jobseekers in the private sector. The system covers a portion of employee wages, helping full-time positions across various sectors within the country. This initiative encourages private sector participation, contributing significantly to the national workforce localization efforts in Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development leads these efforts to support both employees and employers. By supporting wages, the system promotes sustainable employment in the private sector across all industries in the nation.
