King Salman Center Continues its Relief  Efforts in 4 Countries

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) he continues its relief efforts in Yemen, Sudan, Somalia and Lebanon.

With the support of KSrelief, Artificial Limbs and Rehabilitation Center project in Sayun District, Hadramaut Governorate, provided medical services to 264 Yemeni amputees in March 2024.
During the project, 1,082 services were provided. Males comprised 57%, females 43%, displaced people 16%, and residents 84% of the total beneficiaries. Services included prosthetic limb installation and rehabilitation, physical therapy, and specialized consultations.

Yesterday, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributed 300 food baskets to the most needy and displaced families in Sudan, benefiting 2,383 individuals.

The ambulance service of the Subul Salam Social Society in the Minya area in northern Lebanon also carried out 48 ambulance missions last week, funded by the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid.

The tasks varied between transporting patients to and from hospitals and providing ambulance services for those injured in traffic accidents in the city of Minieh.

Yesterday, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center signed a joint cooperation agreement with the International Society for the Care of Victims of War and Disasters to operate the National Blood Bank in Mogadishu in Somalia, benefiting 7,275 individuals.

The agreement was signed by the Center’s Assistant General Supervisor for Operations and Programs, Engineer Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, at the Center’s headquarters in Riyadh.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Muallem, Director of the Health and Environmental Aid Department at the Center, clarified in a press statement that the National Blood Bank will operate in Mogadishu to decrease death rates and curb the spread of blood-borne epidemic diseases. It aims to provide safe blood supplies. It also supports medical treatments and promote early detection of blood and other diseases.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Muallem added that, in accordance with the agreement, the capabilities of Somali national health personnel will also be built and operational medical and non-medical supplies and consumables will be secured.
