Al-Sudairi Confers Al-Kayed King Abdulaziz Sash

Today, the Saudi ambassador to Jordan, Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, conferred on the former Jordanian ambassador to the Kingdom, Ali Al-Kayed, the King Abdulaziz Sash of the second class and the special patent, reported Saudi Press Agency.

 

Al-Sudairi praised Al-Kayed’s diligent efforts in strengthening the fraternal ties between the two countries and the prominent role he played in elevating the bilateral relations to the highest levels.

In turn, Al-Kayed expressed his utmost gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for this honor.

He pointed out that his efforts were in compliance with the directions of His Majesty the King of Jordan Abdullah II and his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

He also emphasized that his efforts reflect the historical relations between the two Kingdoms, both in leadership and people.

Energy Agreement

 

Saudi Minister of Energy Abdulaziz bin Salman met in Riyadh with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Saleh Ali Hamed Al-Kharabsheh, reported Al Arabiya.

They discussed prospects for cooperation in various energy sectors. Moreover, following the meeting, they signed an agreement for cooperation between the two friendly countries in energy sector.

Saudi-Jordanian Agreement

The agreement aims to establish a framework for collaboration between the two parties, aligning with their common goals and interests.

The agreement includes promoting collaboration in energy sectors. The areas of collaboration include petroleum, gas, electricity, renewable energy, energy efficiency, petrochemicals.

They also aim to collaborate to advance cooperation in the circular carbon economy and its technologies targeting climate change mitigation. This involves carbon capture, reuse, transport, and storage, in addition to the hydrogen sector.

Additionally, the agreement also encompasses enhancing cooperation in digital transformation and innovation in the energy field.

It emphasizes working on the development of quality partnerships between the two parties to localize materials, products, and services associated with all energy sectors and supply chains, along with their technologies.

Furthermore, collaboration is sought in the development of standards and regulations related to sustainable materials.
